LAWTON, Okla. – Southeastern evened its record on the season with a 5-1 bounce back victory over Colorado State-Pueblo in Lawton, Okla.
The win lifts the Savage Storm to 2-2 on the season heading into its Great American Conference opener on March 6 against Southern Nazarene in Oklahoma City, Okla.
SE took control in doubles play, first with an 8-1 win by
Alexsandra Reljic and
India Shiaelis toppled CSU-P's one doubles team, 8-1.
The Storm doubled the lead to 2-0 as
Maria Martinez and
Luisa Auffarth cruised to their own 8-1 win in the two position.
SE headed to singles play with a 2-1 lead and stretched it to 3-1 when Reljic downed Hamilton in the one position, 6-4, 6-0.
Auffarth added a win at the number four position, 6-2, 6-0.
Diana Budnik wrapped up the Storm victory by sweeping to a 6-0, 6-0 win in the six position to fashion the 5-1 final score.
