DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern found its return home tougher than it had hoped, ending up on the losing end of a 5-0 final score against No. 24 Midwestern State over the weekend.
The loss drops the Savage Storm to 3-9 overall on the year heading into the Great American Conference opener on April 6 at Arkansas Tech in Russellville, Ark.
In doubles play against the Mustangs
India Shiaelis and
Nina Sergeev fought to an 8-6 loss at the two doubles position, while
Alexsandra Reljic and Maria Matinez fell 8-0 at the one spot.
SE came out of doubles down 3-0, and Reljic looked to swing the score, taking her first set 6-3, but she was unable to finish her match after MSU clinched.
They did so with wins at the two and three singles position to take the match 5-0.
