Women's Tennis Sweeps Road Swing

| Box Score 2 DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern women's tennis put together back-to-back road victories to open Great American Conference play with a 5-2 win over Harding and a 5-4 victory over Arkansas Tech on an Arkansas road swing over the weekend.
 
The wins lifts the Savage Storm to 5-9 overall and 2-0 in GAC play, with SE winning three of its last four outings.
 
In the weekend opener against ATU, Luisa Auffarth and Maria Martinez picked up an 8-4 win at the number two doubles spot to send the match to singles play with the Storm trailing 2-1.
 
Auffarth followed with a 6-0, 6-1 win in singles play over Teresa Sanchez at the two position to even the score at 2-2.
 
The Golden Suns regained the lead at 3-2 briefly, but Alexsandra Reljic would pick up a 6-3, 7-6 win at the top spot to even the score at 3-3.
 
ATU would again take a lead at 4-3, but Martinez would provide the answer for SE with a 6-4, 7-5 win at the four position over Julia Schoch to even the match at 4-4.
 
Diana Budnik would provide the clinching victory at the number six position, downing Megan Bell 3-6, 6-3, 6-3.
 
In Saturday's contest with Harding, Auffarth and Budnik teamed up at the three doubles position to cruise to an 8-0 win.
 
India Shaelis and Sergeev followed with a 9-7 victory at the two spot and the Stormk would leave doubles play with a 2-1 lead.
 
HU would pick up a singles win at the two spot, but Martinez would down Hana Folse 6-4, 6-4 at the five position to get back on track and take a 3-2 lead.
 
Shiaelis followed suit with a 6-4, 6-4 win at the number three spot and was followed by a Sergeev victory at the five position 6-3, 7-6 to clinch the 5-2 match win.
