DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern women's tennis battled but found itself on the short end of a trio of matches over the weekend.

The Savage Storm fell to Northeastern State on Feb. 14, 4-1, followed by a 7-0 loss to No. 15 Midwestern State on Feb. 15 before closing out the weekend with a 4-1 defeat against Missouri Western State.

SE falls to 2-4 overall on the season heading into a Feb. 22 neutral-site matchup with St. Edward's at 1 p.m. in Waco, Texas.

In the weekend's opener, SE was swept in doubles play to fall behind 1-0.

India Shiaelis would pick up a 6-3, 6-2 win over Alzbeta Gombarova at the number two position in singles play to even the score at 1-1, but losses at one, three, and four would lead to a 4-1 loss to the RiverHawks.

The Storm were unable to pick up a win in singles or doubles against 15
th-ranked MSU, with Shiaelis nearly pulling off an upset again at the two position, forcing a third set against No. 43 Casie Curry before falling 5-7, 6-3, 4-6.

In the weekend finale, the duo of
Diana Budnik and
Elizaveta Tregubova picked up a 7-6 (3) win at the two doubles spot, but SE dropped the doubles point overall.

Tregubova would add a 6-4, 6-3 win over Claudia Iglesias at the two position, but the Storm would drop matches at one, three, and four in a 4-1 loss.
