DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will return to Mike Metheny Field for the second-straight weekend as it welcomes in-state rival Northeastern State to town for a four-game series beginning Feb. 7 at 2 p.m. and continuing through Feb. 9.

Games two and three are set for Feb. 8 beginning at noon with the series finale on Feb. 9 at 1 p.m.

The Savage Storm opened the season with a series split versus Northwest Missouri State and sit 2-2 on the season heading into the weekend's games.

Conversely, the RiverHawks will be opening their 2020 season on Friday.

Offensively SE is led by
Colton Buckner and
Chris Eusay who are each hitting over .300, with Buckner connecting on a homer and two doubles with two RBI, while Eusay has driven in a team-best five runs.

Grant Bruce has opened on fire with four hits in just five at bats and has an RBI and two runs scored.

Davis Jenks posted the opening weekend's best start and is 1-0 on the year with a 1.50 ERA and six strikeouts, while
Jacob Potter collected the other win and boasts a 1.80 ERA with six K's.

KC Bryan tossed four scoreless innings in relief to earn a save, while
Kenneth Klier picked up a save as well with a scoreless inning of work in SE's 2-1 win over NWMSU.

NSU comes into the 2020 season picked 10
th in the MIAA preseason Poll after posting a 12-37 record a season ago.

The RiverHawks are returning two of their three All-MIAA selections from last season's team, including Jaxon Phipps, who was named All-MIAA Second Team and Blake Freeman, who recorded NSU's first 60-hit season in three years.
