Winter Calm Before the Storm Set for Oct. 25

DURANT, Okla. – As temperatures cool and Winter approaches, it brings with it another highly anticipated set of men's and women's basketball seasons. Get the scoop on the upcoming campaigns at "Calm Before the Storm", a series of luncheons that will preview Savage Storm sports, with the winter season event slated for Monday, Oct. 25 from 12-1 p.m. at Bloomer Sullivan Gymnasium in the Turf Room of the newly opened Sports Performance Center.
 
Lunch will be provided, while 2021-22 schedule cards will also be available. The event is open to the general public including alumni, fans, corporate partners, and community members.
 
Those in attendance will hear from featured speakers including men's basketball head coach Kelly Green and women's basketball head coach Darin Grover as well as members of the men's and women's teams which enter the year each picked fourth in the Great American Conference preseason poll.
 
Southeastern Director of Athletics Keith Baxter will also give remarks. Jay Lindly, sales manager at Mix 96.1 FM and the radio voice of the Storm on the Southeastern Sports Network, will be the emcee for the event.

Men's Basketball: Nov. 12 vs. Minnesota State-Moorhead | 5:30 p.m. | Shawnee, Okla.
