TULSA, Okla. – Southeastern returned to the court for the first time in 20 days and opened its weekend with a 4-3 win over Northeastern State but ended the weekend with a 4-3 loss to Washburn, with both matches held in Tulsa, Okla.

The Storm fell behind 1-0 after doubles against NSU, with the pair of
Zulay Castaneda and Vanessa Cozimanis picking up a 7-5 win at one doubles for the only win in doubles play.

India Shiaelis would even the score with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Belinda Jayaprakash at number six singles, and Cozamanis gave the Storm its first lead with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Irene Romero at number five.

Castaneda stretched that lead to 3-1 with a 6-4, 6-1 win over Kristela Vidnere at the one position.

Elizaveta Trgubova would finish off the four-match run to a win with a 7-5, 7-5 win at number three.

SE would drop a pair of three-set matches at two and four, but secure the 4-3 victory over the Riverhawks.

Against Washburn, the Storm used a 6-0 win by
Vanessa Nitu and Tregubova at number two doubles and a 6-2 win by Castaneda and Cozamanis to take the early 1-0 lead.

The Ichabods would even the match at 1-1 with a win at three singles and jump ahead 3-1 with wins at numbers five and two.

Shiaelis would snap that run with a 6-2, 6-1 win at number six over Lynn Cadence.

Castaneda followed by tying the match at 3-3 with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Svea Crohn at the one position.

Unfortunately,
Georgia Hosking would come out on the wrong end of a 7-5, 3-6, 3-6 final score at number four as WU secured the 4-3 win.
