DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern softball will jump back into Great American Conference play when it closes out a seven-game road trip against No. 9 Southern Arkansas in a three-game series March 26-27 in Magnolia, Ark., with a 3 p.m. doubleheader scheduled for March 26 and the series finale set for noon the following day.

The Savage Storm head into the weekend riding a seven-game winning streak overall after a four-game sweep of back-to-back doubleheaders against Pittsburg State and Southwest Baptist on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Those wins lifted SE to a 17-2 record on the season and the team is also carrying an eight-game conference winning streak dating back to the opening weekend of league play which has the Storm sitting 9-1 in GAC play.

The Southeastern offense comes in clicking to the tune of a .339 team batting average, led by
Peyton Streetman at .480 and
Kady Fryrear at .417.

Fryrear has added three home runs and six doubles, and her 14 RBI leads a group of six players with double-digit RBI totals.

She is tied atop that RBI group with
Kyia Monahwee who is hitting .387 and has a pair of homers, while Streetman and
Cheyenne Mahy have each knocked in 11 with
Kamarie Wallace and
Jaleigh Durst right behind with 10 apiece.

Amberlyn Walsworth has led the way with an 8-0 record on the season and a 2.37 ERA that includes four complete games and 65.0 innings pitched while striking out 62 and holding opponents to a 2.32 average.

Mahy leads the group in ERA with a 1.60 effort while putting together a 7-1 record on the season and 21 strikeouts.

The duo together has struck out 83 while walking just 14.

The Muleriders head into the weekend ranked ninth-nationally with a 9-4 record overall and a 6-2 mark in GAC play.

SAU is led offensively by Jaxynn Dyson who paces a group of four hitters with .349-or-better averages with a .378 that includes three homers and 11 RBI.

Sarah Evans leads the way in RBI with 12, while Laina Suesue matches Dyson's three homers.

In the circle, The Muleriders are led in wins by Victoria Taylor who is 6-0 on the year with a 3.65 ERA and 42 strikeouts over 37.0 innings pitched, while Sydney Wader is 3-2 with a team-best 1.87 ERA and 26 K's in 33.2 innings.
