DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern softball will look to shake the rust off when it returns to the field for the first time since opening the season on Feb. 6 when it opens Great American Conference play with Southern Nazarene in a three-game series set for March 6-7 in Bethany, Okla.

Saturday's double-headers are slated for a 1 p.m. start, with a single game on Sunday at noon.

SE comes into the weekend with a 2-0 record on the year but has not played in a month as weather and Covid protocols have taken their toll on the Savage Storm schedule.

Southeastern did open the season with a sweep of Texas Woman's, with
Kyia Monahwee and
Jaleigh Durst coming out of the weekend with .500 batting averages, while
Kady Fryrear and
Cheyenne Mahy are each hitting .429.

Durst has a team-best four RBI, with Monahwee and Fryrear each collecting three.

Mahy and
Amberlyn Walsworth each have a win in the circle, with Mahy tossing a complete game with five strikeouts while carrying a 1.00 ERA.

Four Storm pitchers have seen action this season with SE maintaining a 0.54 team ERA.

The Crimson Storm come into the weekend with a 5-6 record but are 3-0 in GAC play after a sweep of Henderson State last weekend.

SNU is led offensively by Skye Ah Yat who is hitting .536 on the year, while Caitlyn Curlee is batting .444 with two home runs and 12 RBI.

Brooklyn Sparkman comes into the weekend with a 3-3 record and a 2.41 ERA cross seven appearances and six starts while striking out 35.
