OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – Southeastern made the midday turn after the first 18 holes on Monday with a one-stroke lead at the GAC Preview, but some snags in the second and third rounds would drop the Savage Storm to a final finish of fifth-place over the 54-hole event at Lake Hefner GC in Oklahoma City, Okla.

The Savage Storm opened with an even-par 288 over the first 18 on Monday which put them a stroke ahead of Harding for the lead after one round, but followed up with a four-over 292 in round two before finishing the week with a 10-over 298 on Tuesday to finish fourth with a total score of 878, 20 shots off the lead.

Jordan Holifield turned in one of the best finishes of his career individually, posting a two-under 70 over the first round before following that up with a three-under 69 in round two. He would complete the event with a one-over 73 to card a 54-hole score of 212 which is four-under par and good for third place overall, one-shot off the lead.

Dalton McGinnis was next in line for SE as he carded a one-under 71 to open Monday before finishing the day with an even-par 72. He would close out the tourney with a 77 bon Tuesday, lifting his score to 220 which was good for a tie for 15
th overall.

Ryan Ward was two shots back of McGinnis with a score of 222, opening with a par-round of 72 on Monday before posting matching 75's over the second and third rounds, moving him into a tie for 23
rd.

Jesse Rouse checked in two more shots back at 224 in a tie for 27
th after posting rounds of 75, 76, and 73 over 54-holes.

Trent Zorgdrager rounded out the Storm lineup finishing tied for 34
th after posting back-to-back rounds of 76 on Monday before finishing the weekend with a 77 to card a three-round score of 231.

Harding's A team took home the top spot with their B team finishing second with a core of 864.
Â
Southern Nazarene checked in third with a tally of 866, while Oklahoma Christian was fourth at 875.
Â
Arkansas-Monticello checked in sixth with a score of 882, while Northwestern Oklahoma State's A and B teams finished seventh and eighth with scores of 882 and 901.

Southeastern will be back on the course Sept. 20-21 in Muskogee, Okla., for the NSU Golf Classic.
