OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – Southeastern men's tennis opened its 2021 fall season with a pair of doubles runs and a solid start in singles play at the OKC Intercollegiate held in Oklahoma City, Okla.
Â
"It was a tough tournament all around," said head coach
Brian Nelson, "As we had strong teams such at Midwestern State, Newman, Ouachita Baptist, Cowley College, Seward CC, Pratt CC, and D1 Oral Roberts. The JUCO's have some really strong players, as we matched up against them in several draws. It's great to see those teams though and see how they match up with us to possibly recruit in the future. I feel we were on the same level though as Midwestern and Ouachita, usually two of our tougher D2 opponents during the Spring. The men are in good shape physically I feel as we had no injuries or withdraws due to heat or exhaustion like some other schools did."
SE had its best runs of the event in doubles play.
