STILLWATER, Okla. – Southeastern's men's team sent 11 competitors to the finals on its way to a team championship at the Oklahoma State Rodeo over thew weekend, while the women's squad found the going a little tougher, sending a pair to the finals while posting a respectable fifth-place team finish in Stillwater, Okla.

Luke Thrash led the men's effort with a second-place overall finish int h bareback riding, putting together a 67-point ride in the long-go to qualify fourth before closing his weekend with an 81 which won the finals and lifted him to second in the average.

He was joined in the bareback finals by
Montana Duvall who posted a 66 on his opening ride and qualified for the finals in fifth before coming back with a 70.5 to finish fourth in the finals and moving to fourth in the average.

SE had its best qualifying effort in the steer wrestling where it sent four cowboys back to the finals, led by
Garrett Elmore who placed seventh in the first round with a time of 5.2 before turning around and clocking a 4.1 in the finals which won the round and lifted him to second in the average.

K.W. Adair was next in line with a 4.9 opening run which split fourth/fifth before turning in a 10.9 in the finals to finish ninth in the round and eighth in the average.

Quint Bell would qualify 12
th with a first-round time of 7.3 but took a no time in the finals, while
Gus Franzen reached the finals with a 4.9, splitting fourth/fifth, but withdrew due to a PRCA Prairie Circuit Finals event.

Bell also reached the finals in the tie down roping, turning in a 9.6 run in the first round to finish third before following up with a 10.7 in the finals which was good for third in the round and helped him split second/third in the average.

Rowdy Nimrod joined him in the finals after posting a 10.8 in the long-go which was good for seventh place and followed that up with a 14.5 in the finals which moved him to ninth.

Tyler Pruitt posted a third-place finish in the first round of the saddle bronc riding with a score of 72, and followed it up with a short-go ride of 68 which was good for fifth in the round while splitting third/fourth in the average.

The duo of
Mason Couch and Bell would split seventh/eighth in the opening round of the team roping with a time of 7.8, but would take a penalty in the finals and card an 18.5 which was good for eighth in the round and eighth in the average.

SE sent two women to the finals, both in the goat tying event.

Mataya Eklund led the way with an 8.3 on her first run which ranked eighth in the long-go before posting an 8.6 in the finals which split fourth/fifth.

Kayla Earnhardt also advanced to the finals with an 8.5 in the first round which advanced in 12
th place, and her finals run of 13.7 would finish out her weekend in 12
th place.
