Storm Set For Three-Game Road Series at HU

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will head to Arkansas for its first Great American Conference road series as it takes on Harding in a three-game set Feb. 27-28 in Searcy, Ark., with game one slated for 3 p.m. on Feb. 27 with a doubleheader on Feb. 28 beginning at noon.
 
The Savage Storm head into the road trip with a 2-1 record in conference play after winning its opening series over then-14th-ranked Arkansas Tech, bringing its overall record to 9-3.
 
SE has leaned on its offense which leads the GAC with a .317 team average while leading the nation in home runs with 22 on the season.
 
The Storm are paced by a pair of .400 hitters in Reid Rice and Cameron French, with Rice hitting .432 with four homers and 14 RBI, while French is right behind with a .421 average, three home runs and 14 RBI.
 
Richard Ware leads the team in homers and RBI with five and 15, respectively.
 
Cole Canuteson has a 2-0 record on the season with a 2.25 ERA and a team-best 16 strikeouts, while Connor Priest and Dylan Turner have each recorded two wins in relief.
 
Kenneth Klier has logged a pair of saves with a 1.23 ERA across six appearances, while Jackson Sioson has added one save without allowing an earned run in five appearances.
 
Harding comes into the weekend with a 9-1 record overall and a 3-0 mark in league play after sweeping East Central to open the season.
 
Chris Witzke leads a group of five players hitting better than .300 as he has a .375 average with a homer and 10 RBI, while Coulton Doyle leads the team in homers with six and RBI with 17.
 
Maddox Long leads the team's starters with a 2-0 record and a 1.93 ERA in a pair of starts with a team-high 15 strikeouts.
