SE Welcomes Bisons for Home and Conference Opener

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern is set to open its home schedule at the same time it opens Great American Conference play as it welcomes Harding to the Southeastern Softball Field for a three-game series Feb. 27-28.
 
Sunday will feature a doubleheader beginning at noon, with the series finale set for Monday afternoon at 2 p.m.
 
The Savage Storm carry a 9-6 record on the season and come into the weekend having won its last two contests and seven of its last nine.
 
Cheyenne Mahy paces the SE offense with a .400 average that includes seven doubles, a homer and 12 RBI.
 
Four others are hitting .300 or better on the year, while Kamarie Wallace leads the team with two home runs and 15 RBI.
 
In the circle, Amberlyn Walsworth leads the way with a 5-4 record and a 1.90 ERA across 11 appearances and eight starts while striking out 43 and holding opponents to a .273 average.
 
Mahy is not far behind with a 4-2 record overall and a 3.61 ERA, with 30 strikeouts and a .255 average.
 
The Bisons come into the weekend with an 11-4 mark overall on the season, and are 2-2 in their last four outings.
 
Nicole Shano leads the way for HU with a .455 average along with six home runs and 16 RBI.
 
Lily Tanski leads the team in the circle with a 5-3 record and a 3.17 ERA with a team-best 36 strikeouts.
