DURANT, Okla. – After winter weather forced a delay to the start of the 2022 season, Southeastern is scheduled to throw out the first pitch against East Central in a non-conference matchup beginning with a double-header at noon on Feb. 6 with the series finale slated for 2 p.m. on Feb. 7.

Southeastern will open its home schedule a day later with a single game at 2 p.m. on Feb. 8 at Mike Metheny Field.

The Savage Storm heads into the 2022 season picked to finish ninth according to the league's preseason poll and is coming off a 17-22 effort in 2021 with a 13-20 mark in GAC which was good for 10th.

Southeastern returns the GAC Freshman of the Year and an All-Region selection in
Seth Morrow who posted a .378 average with 14 doubles, three triples, 11 homers, and 51 RBI.

The Storm offense also welcomes back five players who started more than half the games last season, including
Richard Ware,
Reid Rice,
Dylan Herd,
Joseph Ramirez, and
Matt Miles.

On the hill, SE sees the return of
Jacob Potter who was 3-2 with a shutout and 49 K's as a starter last season over nine starts, while
KC Bryan,
Kenneth Klier, and
Logan Teske all return in the bullpen.

The Tigers are coming off a 4-36 season with a 4-29 mark in GAC play and were picked 12
th in the preseason poll.
