Baseball Set for Midweek Matchup with UCO

DURANT, Okla. – Coming off a conference-series victory over Harding on Monday, Southeastern will take a step back into non-conference play on short rest when it hosts Central Oklahoma at 2 p.m. on March 2 at Mike Metheny Field.
 
The Savage Storm come into the midweek matchup with an 11-4 record and have won four of their last six, all of them against Great American Conference opponents.
 
The SE offense is paced by Reid Rice who is hitting .408 on the year with four homers and 16 RBI, while Cameron French is right behind with a .391 average along with three homers and 16 RBI.
 
Richard Ware leads the team with five home runs and also has 16 RBI.
 
SE is hitting .295 as a team and has scored 119 runs on the year thus far.
 
On the hill, the Storm starters are paced by Logan Teske and Cole Canuteson who have a pair of wins each, while Jordan Compton carries an ERA of 1.98, a low among starters.
 
Jackson Sioson leads the bullpen with three saves and no earned runs allowed in seven appearances, while Kenneth Klier has eight appearances with two saves and has allowed just one earned run.
 
The Bronchos come into Wednesday's contest with a 7-4 record on the season, having just taken two of three in its weekend series.
 
UCO is led on offense by Landen Wood's .44 average, while Clayton Peterson has driven in a team-high 14 runs and Garrett Takamatsu has collected five homers.
 
Elliott Tucker leads the team's starters with a 3.77 ERA, while AJ Ozorio-Brace is the only pitcher with two wins.
