DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern baseball looks to extend its five-game winning streak when it returns home to host Northwestern Oklahoma State in a three-game series with game one slated for 2 p.m. on March 12, with the final two games set as a noon doubleheader on March 13, with all three games being played at Mike Metheny Field.
 
The Savage Storm are coming off a midweek road win over Rogers State which came on the heels of a sweep of Southern Nazarene, lifting their record to 16-4 overall on the season and 7-2 in Great American Conference play which moves SE into a tie for third in the league standings.
 
Southeastern leads the conference offensively with a .318 team batting average and in runs scored with 183, while ranking third in home runs with 29.
 
Blake McQuain leads the team and the conference in hitting with a .480 average which ranks in the top-30 nationally.
 
Cameron French is next in line with a .393 average which is seventh in the league, while the two each have seven doubles which leads the team.
 
Reid Rice follows with a .368 average, while leading the team in home runs with eight and RBI with 25.
 
Seth Morrow at .346 and 
Joseph Ramirez at .345 round out the Storm hitter with .300-or-better averages.
 
Richard Ware follows Rice in power numbers with six homers and 22 RBI.
 
Logan Teske and 
Connor Priest each have three wins, while 
Cole Canuteson and 
Kenneth Klier have each logged 20 or more strikeouts.
 
Jackson Sioson paces the GAC and is third nationally with five saves on the season, and carries a 3.75 ERA over 10 appearances with 10 strikeouts.
 
NWOSU comes to town with a 9-9 record overall and a 6-3 mark in GAC play which is good for fifth place.
 
The contests serves as a homecoming for Ranger head coach Ryan Bowen who played two season for the Savage Storm, finishing his career in 2009. He would return for a five-year stint as an assistant coach under Mike Metheny before departing for NWOSU.
 
Southeastern is 10-3 in its meeting with the Rangers dating back to the 2017 season, with just three of those wins coming in Durant.
 
Hayden Priest leads NWOSU with a .412 average, while Blake Hoffman has a team-best 22 RBI. Priest, Hoffman, and Shaughn Kelly each have five home runs.
 
On the hill, Dylan Collins has a team-best three wins, while Edwin Cole has recorded two wins and two saves with a 1.64 ERA in nine relief appearances. Emilio Lovato paces the club in strikeouts with 34.
