DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern stormed back in doubles play but it was not enough to offset the doubles point in a 4-3 loss to No. 19 Drury at the Southeastern Tennis Complex.

The loss drops the Savage Storm to 10-4 overall on the season and snaps a four-match winning streak.

SE was swept in doubles, but not without putting up a fight, falling by 7-6 tiebreakers at both numbers two and three.

DU would jump out to a 2-0 lead but
Chiara Matteodo would put together a 6-4, 6-0 win at number three to close the gap.

Skye Royall would knot the match at 2-2 by putting together a 6-4, 6-1 win at number two.

DU would regain the lead briefly with a win at number four, but immediately after
Elizaveta Tregubova would again tie the match with a 6-1, 6-1 win at number five.

The number six position would go to a third set, but unfortunately the Storm would find itself on the short end, falling 4-3 in the match.
