Storm Baseball Hosts OBU in Key GAC Series

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will look to break the tie for second place in the Great American Conference standings in its favor when it welcomes Ouachita Baptist to Mike Metheny Field for a three-game series beginning at 2 p.m. on April 15, with a doubleheader slated for noon on April 16.
 
The Savage Storm come in with a 26-13 record overall and a 15-9 mark in GAC play which puts them in a three-way tie for second place with the Tigers as well as Henderson State.
 
Cameron French paces the Storm offense in average while hitting .404 with 12 doubles, three triples and four homers with 34 RBI on the year.
 
Reid Rice provides the power with 18 home runs on the season and a team-best 48 RBI.
 
Blake McQuain, Seth Morrow, and Hayden Evans are each hitting better than .300, while Morrow has added five homers and 34 RBI.
 
Dylan Turner leads the team's starting pitchers with a 5.11 ERA and has put together a 3-3 record with 33 strikeouts.
 
Connor Priest and Cole Canuteson each have four wins, with Canuteson leading the team with 46 strikeouts.
 
OBU Jud Arrington leads the Tigers in average with a .364 mark, while G. Allen has a team-high nine homers, with Wyatt Core posting a team-best 39 RBI.
 
Cooper Timmons leads the OBU pitching staff with five wins and a 4.00 ERA, while Beau Burson has a team-leading 63 strikeouts.
