Box Score 4 DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern men's tennis wrapped up a stretch of five matches over seven days, finishing the series with a 3-2 record, which featured a sweep of a pair of junior college foes as well as a win over Newman.

The Savage Storm improve to 12-7 overall, but did suffer their first MIAA South Division loss of the season.

SE got its run of matches started in style by cruising to a 7-0 win over Collin College.

Gen Naraya and
Manuel Pilotto picked up a 7-6 win at number three doubles and that was coupled with a win at number one by
George Botha and
Marin Jurkovic to take the doubles point.

Thabo Ncube at number six and Naraya at number four each made quick work of their matches, with Ncube winning 6-1, 6-2, while Naraya nearly matched it with a 6-1, 6-3 win.

Pilotto would clinch the match with a 6-1, 6-3 win at number one to make the score 4-0.

Stipan Madzar followed with a 6-3, 6-2 win at number two, pushing the lead to 5-0.

Botha and Jurkovic each saw a third set at numbers three and five, respectively, but both would prevail to finish off the sweep.

SE's number one and three doubles teams would repeat their performances versus Pratt CC to secure the doubles point for a second-straight match, with the number two match being left incomplete.

Botha would fly to a 6-1, 6-1 win at number three, followed by a 6-2, 6-1 win by Madzar at two and a match-clinching 6-2, 6-4 win by Pilotto at number one, sealing a 4-0 win.

Later that same day the Storm would pick up a 6-2 win by Madzar and Ncube at number two doubles, followed by a 6-3 win by Naraya and Pilotto at number three to take a 1-0 lead with the doubles point.

Newman would event he match with a win at number five, but SE would regain the lead with a Madzar win at number two by a 6-4, 6-4 margin.

A Pilotto win in three sets at number one stretched the lead to 3-1.

NU would bounce back with a win at number three, but Naraya would recover for a 6-3, 3-6, 1-0 win in three sets to clinch the 4-2 victory.

SE followed by taking on No. 32 Northwest Missouri State, and for the first time in the stretch of matches would fall in doubles, with only Madzar and Ncube picking up a 6-3 win at number two.

Ncube would also pick up SE's only singles win as well, taking the number six match 6-3, 6-7, 10-5, as the Storm would fall 6-1

The Storm followed with its conference opener against No. 21 Ouachita Baptist where it fell 5-2.

After being swept in doubles play, SE would find itself in a 2-0 hole after a loss at number six.

Ncube would get SE on the board with a 7-5, 6-0 win at number four, but a loss at number five would see the gap grow to 3-1.

Botha would follow with a 6-1, 6-2 win at number three, but OBU would pick up wins at numbers one and two to make the final 5-2.
