SE Softball Set to Host Bulldogs

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will look to build on its momentum from a midweek win over East Central when it welcomes Southwestern Oklahoma State to the Southeastern Softball Field April 8-9 for a three-game series. Game one of the series is set for a 3 p.m. start on Friday, while Saturday's doubleheader is slated for an 11 a.m. first pitch.
 
The Savage Storm enter the weekend with a 20-20 record overall and an 11-10 mark in Great American Conference play, moving into fifth-place in the league standings.
 
SE is led by Peyton Streetman's .257 average as well as her team-best 31 runs scored.
 
Cheyenne Mahy has provided the power in the Storm lineup with 13 doubles, three homers and a team-leading 30 RBI.
 
Kamarie Wallace leads the team with four home runs and is next in line with 28 RBI.
 
Mahy and Amberlyn Walsworth each have 10 victories, and have near matching ERA's with Walswroth at 4.59 and Mahy at 4.73.
 
Walsworth leads the team with 138 strikeouts while both pitchers have a pair of saves.
 
SWOSU comes into the weekend with an 8-22 record overall and a 7-14 mark in GAC play and is tied for 10^th in the league standings.
 
Maddie Rahon leads the Bulldogs offense with a .344 average, while Jordyn Wadley has six homers and 20 RBI.
 
Alisa Friesen leads the pitching staff for SWOSU with five wins and a 6.25 ERA, while Brianna Cryer leads the team with 46 strikeouts.
