GOODWELL, Okla. – Garrett "Hotshot" Elmore put together one of the best single weekends in Southeastern rodeo history winning a trio of times events en route to an All-Around title while helping the Savage Storm to a first place team finish at the OPSU Rodeo.

The first-place team finish saw eight finals qualifications and four event wins for the Storm who used the weekend to lock up a Central Plains Region team championship.

Elmore picked up the all-around title after picking up event titles in the tie down roping, steer wrestling and the team roping.
Â
In the tie down he would post a 9.4 in the opening round to win the round and advance to the finals. Once there his time of 10.5 was good for second in the round and maintained his first-place spot in the average.

In the steer wrestling he would put together a 6.3 on his first run to qualify for the finals in sixth, but followed up with a blazing 3.9 in the finals to win the round and move all the way up to first in the average.

He would complete his trifecta in the team roping where he partnered with Cameron's Brodie Williams to post a 6.3 in the first round which was good for sixth place. They would follow up in the finals with an 11.1 which won the round and moved them up to the top spot in the average.

While his three event wins may have stolen the show, he was not the only champion as
Luke Thrash would put together a pair of bareback rides and lead the event from beginning to end.

His first ride scored a 72 and qualified him to the finals in first place where he followed up with a 75 point ride which was good for first in the round and locked up his top spot in the average.

Tyler Griffin was hot on his heels in the bareback event, posting a 68-point ride in the first round to reach the finals in third place. Once there he would add a 73 point ride which was again good for third place in the round, lifting him to second place in the average for the weekend.

Back in the steer wrestling, the Storm would send two more competitors to the finals as
Mason Couch and
Rowdy Nimrod would each post a 7.2 to split 9
th/10
th and reach the finals.

Once in the finals, Couch would put together a time of 6.1 which was good for third in the round and moved him up to fifth in the average. Nimrod would follow with a 7.3 in the finals which ranked sixth in the round and lifted him to sixth in the average.

Gus Franzen would also qualify in the tie down roping after posting an 11.1 in the long go which was good for seventh, but a no time in the finals would take him out of the average.
