DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern is set to return to the Great American Conference Tournament on May 7 when it heads to Hot Springs, Ark., as the No. 4 seed to take on fifth-seeded Ouachita Baptist at 9:30 a.m. on May 7.
 
The Savage Storm come into the postseason with a 32-18 record overall on the year after posting a 20-13 mark in GAC play. SE makes its first trip back to the postseason since the 2017 season.
 
A win in its opener on Saturday would earn the Storm a second-round matchup with the winner of the top-seeded Southern Arkansas versus eighth-seeded Arkansas Tech contest at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday morning.
 
The tournament moves to a hybrid format that has teams playing a double elimination bracket until the semifinal matchups, which are scheduled for 3:50 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Monday, May 9, when it moves to a single elimination format for the final three games.
 
Southeastern enters the tournament on a four-game winning streak with 
Cameron French, 
Matt Miles, 
Reid Rice, 
Blake McQuain, and 
Bryce McDermott each hitting over .300.
 
Rice's 18 homers and 52 RBI continue to lead the way for SE, while French has driven in 43, while 
Seth Morrow and 
Richard Ware have plated more than 30 run each.
 
Cole Canuteson has paced the Storm starters on the season with a 6-1 record with a 5.24 ERA and a team-best 71 strikeouts.
 
Connor Priest has added a 5-3 record with a 5.48 ERA, while 
Dylan Turner is 4-4 on the year with a 5.58 ERA.
 
Southeastern hosted OBU in the regular-season series where the Storm took two-out-of-three games in the series, rebounding from a loss in the opener to pick up wins of 7-2 and 13-3.
