DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern men's golf will open the 2022-23 season picked to finish sixth in the league according to the Great American Conference preseason poll released on Thursday.

The Savage Storm picked up 35 points in the poll to finish sixth, just one point behind Southern Arkansas in fifth place.

SE finished ahead of Arkansas-Monticello who was seventh with 22 points, followed by Southern Nazarene in eighth and Northwestern Oklahoma State in ninth.

Henderson State enters as the preseason favorite with 59 points and five first-place votes, just ahead of Southwestern Oklahoma State who picked up three first-place nods.

Harding checked in third, while Arkansas tech picked up the remaining first-place vote and finished fourth in the poll.

Southeastern is coming off a fifth-place finish in last season's GAC Championship where it steadily improved its score round-by-round

Dalton McGinnis posted the team's best returning finish a season ago, turning in a three-round score of 222 to finish tied for 17
th, and posting three top-20 finishes on the season.

Trent Zorgdrager and
Justice Hartman who were each top-30 finishers at the GAC tournament a season ago.
