Storm Set for GAC Road Series at UAM

DURANT, Okla. – With wet weather threatening the southeast Arkansas area, Southeastern baseball's conference series versus Arkansas-Monticello, forcing the three-game series to play its doubleheader on Feb. 26 at noon, followed by a single game at noon on Feb. 27. All three games have been moved to the Sterlington Sports Complex in Monroe, La.
 
The Savage Storm enter the weekend with a 6-6 record and a 1-2 mark in Great American Conference play after dropping its season-opening series against No. 2 Southern Arkansas.
 
The SE offense is hitting .303 as a team, with six starters batting over .300.
 
Cameron French comes in with a .361 average and is tied with Damon Burroughs for the team lead in RBI with 10 apiece.
 
Jake Miller has collected a trio of homers to lead the team and is hitting .324 with nine RBI.
 
The Southeastern pitching staff has been solid, led by its weekend starters Cole Canuteson, Connor Priest, and Dylan Turner.
 
Canuteson leads the team with a 2-0 record and carries a 2.25 ERA with a team-best 24 strikeouts.
 
Priest leads the team in ERA with a 1.35 mark but carries an 0-1 record on the year, while Turner is 1-2 with a 5.02 ERA.
 
Cameron Hauch has allowed one run on one hit in 10.2 innings in relief and carries a 1-0 record.
 
UAM enters the weekend after a three-game sweep of East Central which lifted its record to 8-3 overall and 3-0 in GAC play.
 
The Boll Weevils are led by Kirk Woolf who is hitting .442 with six homers and 12 RBI, while Reece Reading leads the team in RBI with 14.
 
UAM's pitching staff carries an 8.28 ERA but is led by Connor Irvine who is 3-0 on the year with a 2.84 ERA, with River Hunt pacing the relievers with four saves and a 0.00 ERA across five appearances.
