SE Baseball Hosts Reddies in Three-game Series

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern returns home looking to bounce back strong when it hosts Henderson State for a three-game series March 17-18 at Mike Metheny Field, with game one slated for 2 p.m. on Friday, followed by a Saturday doubleheader at 1 p.m.
 
The Savage Storm come in with an 11-12 record overall and a 4-8 mark in Great American Conference play after dropping three-straight at Oklahoma Baptist.
 
The SE offense comes in still among the best int eh league with a .308 team average, led by a .403 mark from Damon Burroughs who has piled up four doubles, four triples, two homers and 26 RBI.
 
Joseph Ramirez, Reid Rice, Seth Morrow, Cameron Cromer, Cameron French, and Sam Creed are all hitting over .300 as well.
 
Morrow and Jake Miller lead the team with four homers each.
 
Burroughs leads the way with 26 RBI, while Morrow has 20 and Rice is next in line with 18.
 
Connor Priest continues to pace the Storm starters with a 3.86 ERA despite his 0-2 record while also matching Cole Canuteson for the team lead in strikeouts with 31.
 
Canuteson has a team-best 3-1 record with a 4.60 ERA.
 
HSU enters the weekend with a 14-9 record on the season and a 7-5 mark in league play.
 
The Reddies are led offensively by Luke Rice who is hitting .412 with six homers and 23 RBI.
 
Greyson Stevens matches the team-high in homers with six, while Kaden Albright has added 21 RBI.
 
The HSU pitching staff is led by Galvan Ryan who is 3-0 with a 2.36 ERA and 24 strikeouts, while Cade Tucker has a 1-1 record with four saves and a 0.96 ERA.
