Softball Hits the Road to Face HSU

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will be looking to keep pace at the top of the conference when it heads into Arkansas for a three-game road series against Henderson State, with the opener slated for 4 p.m. on March 17 with a doubleheader on March 18 at noon in Arkadelphia, Ark.
 
The Savage Storm are coming off a split twinbill against rival East Central and come into he weekend with a 14-13 record overall and an 8-3 mark in Great American Conference play and in a three-way tie for the league lead.
 
The SE offense features a trio of .300 hitters, led by Gracie Ore's .328 average with five doubles.
 
Cheyenne Mahy is next in line with a .306 mark and a team-best four home runs, while Bailey Beard is hitting .302 with the team-0lead in triples with three.
 
Iliana Olivares leads the team with 14 RBI and Sabetha Sands has racked up seven doubles.
 
In the circle, Reese Taylor picked up her fifth win of the season and matches Amberlyn Walsworth who each have five victories.
 
Mahy leads the team in ERA with A 2.30 mark and has a 4-02 record on the year.
 
HSU enters the weekend with a 13-14 record on the season overall and a 5-6 mark in league play.
 
The Reddies are led on offense by Kaitlyn O'Quinn who is hitting .358, while Abbie Moore has a team-best six homers and 18 RBI.
