Softball Set for Three-Game Series at SWOSU

DURANT, Okla. – After opening the conference with a series victory at homer, Southeastern will now make its first Great American Conference road trip when it takes on Southwestern Oklahoma State with a single game at 3:30 p.m. on March 3, followed by a noon doubleheader on March 4 in Weatherford, Okla.
 
The Savage Storm enters the weekend with an 8-11 record overall on the year and a 2-1 record in GAC play.
 
Iliana Olivares is leading the offense with a .317 average and a team-best 12 RBI along with three doubles.
 
Cheyenne Mahy has all three of the team's home runs, while Massie has added six RBI.
 
 In the circle, Amberlyn Walsworth leads the team with a 4-4 record and a team-high 46 strikeouts while carrying a 5.76 ERA.
 
Mahy has added a 2-1 record with a 3.74 ERA while holding opponents to a .256 batting average.
 
SWOSU comes into the weekend with a 4-12 record on the season and a 1-2 mark in league play after dropping two out of three at Ouachita Baptist last weekend.
 
The Bulldogs are paced offensively by Skyla McPhillips who is hitting .333 with 10 RBI, while Jordyn Wadley leads the team in RBI with 13 as well as homers with four.
 
Brianna Cryer leads the SWOPSU starters with a 2-5 record and a 6.72 ERA, with Kaylee Barkley posting a 2-0 record and a 1.91 ERA in 10 relief appearances.
