SE Hosts Rival Tigers in Midweek Matchup Tuesday

DURANT, Okla. – Following back-to-back conference series, Southeastern will take a midweek step out of conference play when it welcomes East Central to Mike Metheny Field for a 3 p.m. single contest on March 21.
 
The Savage Storm are coming off a 2-1 series victory over Henderson State which moved them to 13-13 on the season and 6-9 in Great American Conference play.
 
Damon Burroughs hit over .500 in that series, picking up GAC Player of the Week honors while lifting his season average to .424 with four doubles, five triples, and four home runs alongside a team-high 33 RBI.
 
He leads a group of six players hitting over .300 on the year, with Reid Rice, Joseph Ramirez, Seth Morrow, Cory Bonstrom, and Cameron Cromer each above the .300 mark
 
Morrow leads the team in homers with five, while Burroughs, Rice, Jake Miller, and John David Muse each have four.
 
Morrow is next in line in RBI as well with 27, while Rice has 21.
 
ECU comes into the contest with a 5-22 record overall and an 0-15 mark in league play after getting swept by Ouachita Baptist last time out.
 
Christian Whitaker leads the Tigers with a .353 average, while Nolan Herchock is next in line with a .308 mark.
 
Dawerlyn Amancio leads the team in home runs with three as well as RBI with 20, while Duncan Key is right behind with 19.
