UPDATED: Softball Set to Host OBU in Three-game Series

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern softball returns home for the first of two consecutive home weekend series as it hosts Ouachita Baptist on March 25-26, beginning with a 2 p.m. doubleheader on Saturday, March 25 before completing the series with a single game at noon on Sunday, March 26.
 
The Savage Storm enters the weekend with a 16-14 record overall and a 10-4 mark in Great American Conference play which is tied for the top spot in the league standings.
 
SE has a foursome of .300 hitters, led by Iliana Olivares who is batting .333 with a team-best 16 RBI.
 
Bailey Beard is next in line at .314, followed by Gracie Ore at .309 and Cheyenne Mahy at .306.
 
Mahy leads the team in home runs with four and is next in line with 14 RBI.
 
Reese Taylor paces the pitching staff and is the reigning GAC Pitcher of the Week. She has amassed a 6-4 record on the year with a 2.30 ERA and 45 strikeouts.
 
Mahy is next in line with a 2.89 ERA and a 4-2 record, while Amberlyn Walsworth is 6-7 on the season with a 4.01 ERA and a team-leading 76 strikeouts.
 
OBU comes into the weekend with a 10-19 record overall and a 4-10 mark in conference play.
 
The Tigers are paced by Erin Williams and Callie Jourdan who are each hitting .348, with Williams leading the team in homers with five, while Maggi Huddleston leads the way in RBI with 21.
 
Tuesday Melton leads the pitching staff with a 7-9 record and a 6.31 ERA while striking out 60.
