Track and Field Posts High Marks at OBU Invite

SHAWNEE, Okla. – Southeastern set a school record in the 4x800 meter run and saw a trio of sprint personal bests while posting 12 total top-six finishes at the OBU Invite in Shawnee, Okla.
 
The 4x800 meter relay team made up of Madison Rowe, Aliya Carrizales, Alexis Longoria, and Arden Keterson smashed the previous school record in the event with a time of 9:53.82, besting the previous mark by over 41 seconds on their way to a second-place finish in the event.
 
Charisma Lacy-Raye and Amore Armstrong each posted a personal-bests in the 200 meter as they finished in the top-10 in the event with matching runs of 25.69.
 
Lacy Raye would go on to post a top-five school mark run in the 100 meter with a time of 12.72, while Armstrong added another personal best with a fifth-place finish in the 400 meter and a time of 59.69.
 
Alexis Longoria turned in a third-place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 12:23.75, while Rachel Wynn turned in a sixth-place finish in the event with a 12:51.22.
 
Rowe led a trio of top-six finishers in the 800 meter, turning in a time of 2:25.10, while Makensi Greenwood turned in a run of 2:26.96 and Kaitlyn Cedillo followed with a 2:32.15.
 
Greenwood would add a sixth-place finish in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:09.63 and would be part of the 4x400 meter relay, joined by Armstrong, Rowe, and Carrizales, who finished sixth with a 4:11.87.
 
In the field events, Samantha Wallis turned in a second-place finish in the Javelin with a toss of 31.01 meters, while Kathryn Newsom finished fourth with a throw of 26.09 meters with Savannah Sandoval in fifth with a throw of 25.06 meters.
