Storm Set to Finish Series with Rival ECU Tuesday

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern is set to hit the road Tuesday for a rare midweek single contest as it completes the season series with East Central at 3 p.m. in Ada, Okla., on April 11.
 
The teams split the first two games of the series in a doubleheader in Durant back on March 14, with SE taking game one 5-1 and ECU winning the nightcap 3-0.
 
The Savage Storm come into the contest with a 23-18 record overall and a 17-6 mark in Great American Conference play and has the opportunity to secure its eighth-straight conference series victory with a win Tuesday.
 
Gracie Ore leads the team with a .349 average, while three others are hitting better than .300 on the year.
 
Sabetha Sands is batting .344 with 10 doubles, a triple, and a home run along with 15 RBI.
 
Cheyenne Mahy is next in at .321 with a team-best four home runs, while Iliana Olivares is hitting .313 and matching Mahy in RBI with 19 each.
 
Reese Taylor leads the way in the circle with an 8-5 record and a 2.42 ERA, while Amberlyn Walsworth has a team-leading 10 victories and 120 strikeouts with a 3.25 ERA.
 
ECU comes into the midweek matchup with an 18-19 record overall and an 11-12 mark in league play.
 
The Tigers are led offensively by Megan Lesko who is hitting .342 with 10 doubles, four home runs, and 26 RBI.
 
In the circle, Taia Harris carries a team-best 2.56 ERA as well as a team-leading 76 strikeouts, while Taryn O'Brien has seven wins to pace the pitching staff.
