Baseball Set to Host Harding in Home Finale Series

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern baseball heads into its final home weekend April 14-15 set to host Harding in a three-game series with game one slated for Friday at 2 p.m. followed by a Saturday doubleheader at 1 p.m.
 
Saturday's contests will also feature senior day recognition for seven Savage Storm players who will be playing in their final home games for the program.
 
SE comes into the series with a 20-18 record overall and a 12-12 mark in Great American Conference play and are riding a three-game winning streak that includes three-straight walk-off victories in its last series.
 
The Storm have won six of its last seven, and six-straight in league play.
 
Damon Burroughs leads the offense with a .417 average that includes six doubles, seven triples, and five home runs with a team-high 43 RBI.
 
Reid Rice, Seth Morrow, Sam Creed, Joseph Ramirez, and Cory Bonstrom all hit over .300 in the lineup.
 
Rice has collected team-highs in doubles with 12 and home runs with eight while adding 32 RBI.
 
Morrow has chipped in 10 doubles, six homers, and is second on the team with 38 RBI.
 
Cole Canuteson leads the pitching staff with a 4-1 record and a 5.08 ERA with 53 strikeouts, while Michael Barta has put together a 4-1 record as well and is next in line with 45 strikeouts.
 
HU comes into the weekend with a 25-13 record overall on the year and 12-12 in GAC play, having dropped five of its last six in league outings.
 
Coulton Doyle leads the Bisons with a .395 average with nine home runs and 39 RBI.
 
On the hill, Maddox Long has a team-high six wins and leads the way in strikeouts with 59 while carrying s 6.14 ERA.
