Softball Set to Take on Ranked Bisons On The Road

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern softball will close out a seven-game road swing when it travels to Searcy, Ark., April 14-15 for a three-game series against No. 18 Harding, with a doubleheader starting at 4 p.m. on Friday with the series finale set for Saturday at noon.
 
The Savage Storm come into the weekend with a 24-18 record overall and an 18-6 mark in Great American Conference play.
 
SE has won five of its last seven contests, and eight of its last 10 conference matchups.
 
The Storm are paced on offense by a foursome of .300 hitters led by Sabetha Sands who is hitting .355 with a team-best 12 doubles to go with a triple, a homer, and 16 RBI.
 
Gracie Ore, Cheyene Mahy, and Iliana Olivares are each hitting better than .300, with Mahy leading the way in homers with five and RBI with 21.
 
Reese Taylor comes into the weekend leading the team in ERA at 2.42 with an 8-5 record, while Amberlyn Walsworth has recorded a team-best 10 wins with a 3.25 ERA and 120 strikeouts.
 
HU comes into the weekend with a 34-9 record overall and a 19-5 mark in GAC play.
 
The Bisons are led on offense by Macy Smith with a .387 average, while Nicole Shano has a team-best seven homers and 34 RBI.
 
Riley Price leads the team in the circle with a 16-3 record and a 1.73 ERA to go with 83 strikeouts.
