Softball On the Road for Series Vs. SNU

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will set out looking to maintain its share of the lead in the Great American conference standings when it heads to Bethany, Okla., to take on Southern Nazarene in a three-game series, with the opener set for a 4 p.m. first pitch on April 6 followed by an April 7 twinbill at noon.
 
The Savage Storm head into the weekend with a 21-17 record overall and a 15-5 mark in GAC play.
 
Sabetha Sands leads the Storm offense with a .342 average,  team-high 10 doubles and 13 RBI.
 
Gracie Ore is next in line with a .338 average, while Cheyenne Mahy is hitting .326 with four home runs and 18 RBI.
 
Iliana Olivares follows with a .313 average and a team-best 19 RBI on the year.
 
Mahy leads the pitching staff with a 2.40 ERA with a 5-2 record, while Reese Taylor and Amberlyn Walsworth each have eight wins on the year, with Taylor posting a 2.56 ERA and Walsworth checking in at 3.61 while leading the team with 110 strikeouts.
 
SNU comes into the series with a 19-19 record on the year overall and an 8-11 mark in conference play.
 
Liana Heshiki leads the team with a .422 average, while Hailey Evans is hitting .336 with nine home runs and 36 RBI.
 
Katelyn Woodard leads the team in the circle with a 3.29 ERA and a 4-2 record, while Olivia Hernandez has a team-best 7-4 record with a 3.36 ERA and 97 strikeouts.
