DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will open its Great American Conference Tournament on the road when it travels to Magnolia, Ark., at the No. 8 seed to take on top-seed Southern Arkansas in a best-of-three first round series in the Great American Conference Tournament beginning May 5. SE opens the series at 6 p.m. on Friday, with game two set for 2 p.m. May 6, with an if necessary game to follow.

The winner of this weekend's best-of-three series will advance to the GAC CHampioonshiop final Four May 11-13 at Arvest Ballpark in Springdale, Ark.Â
The Savage Storm enter the postseason with a 27-23 record overall but are winners of four-straight heading into the series.

The two teams met to open the GAC season back in February in Durant, Okla., where SAU would take two of the three games, with the Storm picking up a 4-1 win in game two.

On the season Southeastern is led by
Damon Burroughs who is hitting .401 with seven doubles, nine triples, six home runs and 51 RBI.

Matt Miles,
Reid Rice,
Seth Morrow,
Joseph Ramirez, and
Cory Bonstrom are all hitting over .300 as well, with Rice turning in eight homers followed by Morrow's seven.

Morrow is second in line in RBI with 41 while Rice has driven in 36.

Cole Canuteson and
Michael Barta each have collected five wins on the year, with Canuteson adding a team-high 64 strikeouts.

Dylan Turner leads the starters in ERA with a 4.98 mark, while
Jordan Compton has logged four saves and three wins.

SAU comes into the postseason with a 34-15 record on the season and led offensively by Riley Orr's .371 average, while Brett McGee has 15 home runs and Brandon Nicoll has a team-best 63 RBI.

The Mulerider pitching staff is led by Jeremy Adorno who has seven wins on the year and 105 strikeouts, while Mikel Howell has a staff low ERA of 3.37 among starters. Isaiah Haynes has piled up 12 saves for the club.
