BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – Southeastern Oklahoma finishes off its final fall regular season tournament 14
th at the Tulsa Cup with a score of 70-over 934. The Savage Storm entered the final day of play with a 36-hole score of 44-over 620.
Rogers State won the tournament with a score of 43-over 907, just beating out second-place Washburn (+45) by two strokes. Two GAC teams secured Top 5 finishes, as Southwestern Oklahoma State took third at 49-over 913, and Harding secured a fourth-place finish with a score of 50-over 914.
Jesse Rouse paced the SE lineup, finishing 2
nd with a score of 2-over 218 across three rounds. The Kingston, Okla. native came into the final day 6-over 150 and would turn in his best round of the event, shooting 4-under 68 in the third round after a bogey-free front nine and recording six birdies. Rouse tied for the most birdies across the 90-player field with ten for the event.
Trent Pollard (T28th) wrapped up the tournament 16-over 232 after turning in a 10-over 82 in round three. Pollard began the event 6-over 150, shooting 2-over 74 in the first round and 4-over 76 in the second, totaling five birdies across the two rounds.
Bo Gentry entered the day 13-over 157 and posted a 14-over 86 in the third round to finish tied for 68
th at 27-over 243.
Nicholas Martin (T74th) turned in his best individual round score on the final day, carding a 7-over 79. The Frisco, Texas native compiled a 54-hole score of 30-over 246, following a 22-over 167 across the first day. Rounding out the SE five-bag,
Tristun Burnham shot 33-over 249 to place 84
th individually after 54 holes of play. Burnham got the tournament going with an 8-over 80 in the first round before shooting 12-over 84 in the second.
Southeastern will break for the winter and will return to action again in the spring for the second half of its season.
