OKLAHOMA CITY – The Southeastern men's golf team has three players finish in the top 20 at the SNU Spring Individual Invite.
Austin Skierski put in the best score across two rounds by a member of the SE five-bag, shooting 4-over 146 to tie for tenth. Skierski put in his best round of the day in the first, turning in a 2-under 69 with five birdies, including three on the back nine, where he shot 2-under par. The freshman would follow with a 6-over 77 in the second round.
Nicholas Martin tied for 14
th with a 5-over 147 after firing in rounds of 2-over 73 and 3-over 74. Martin combined for four birdies across the 36 holes of play, and three of those would come in round one.
Reid Sharp rounded out the top 20 individual finishes tied for 19
th with a score of 8-over 150 in two rounds. Sharp shot 4-over 75 in both rounds and had four birdies, with two coming during round one on the front nine, and he recorded two more in the second on the back nine.
Jesse Tandoy and
Tristun Burnham matched each other over the 36 holes, turning in a 12-over 154. Tandoy shot 5-over 76 in round one with three birdies and followed with a 7-over 78 in the second. Burnham shot 9-over 80 to begin the day, and he would improve on his round score in the second with a 3-over 74, recording 14 pars and a birdie.
Southeastern heads to Bossier City, La., on March 16 and 17 to compete in the Centenary Invitational at the Golf Club at Stonebridge.
