RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Southeastern Oklahoma State's
Ruthie Forson was named the 2024 GAC Setter of the Year and earned First Team All-GAC with
D'Nari Mills, while
Patience Lewis received All-GAC Honorable Mentions.

Additionally, five members of the Savage Storm were named to the GAC Academic Honor Roll:
Amaya Constantino, Forson,
Faith Kruebbe,
Michera Moffett and
Maci Morrison.

From her setter position, Forson has dished out 971 assists across 110 sets, averaging a GAC sixth-best 8.83 assists per set. Along with helping set her teammates, the Denton, Texas native has slammed down 250 kills and recorded 296 digs this season for nine triples-doubles – the second most by a player across Division II this season.  Â

Earlier this season, Forson helped Southeastern to a 3-2 win against Arkansas Tech with the conference's first quadruple-double, registering 13 kills, 44 assists, 14 digs and 10.0 total blocks. The graduate setter would earn AVCA National Player of the Week honors for her efforts in the win and was named GAC Setter of the Week.

Mills ended the regular season as one of the conference's top attackers, ranking second in kills per set (4.05) and first in total kills (445). In addition, Mills sits eighth across DII in total kills. The Cypress, Texas native has totaled double-digit kills in all but two contests this season and saw a season-high 25 in a road match at Oklahoma Christian.

Mills has also been a double-double machine for the Storm, with 19 in 28 matches, which sees her rank second on the team in digs with 373. The Cypress Woods High School product has also chipped in 46.0 total blocks, 44 assists and 15 service aces.

Both Forson and Mills reached milestones for the Storm this season, as Forson became the second player in program history to reach 3000 career assists and ranks second all-time with 3399. Mills joined the 1000 kills club and ranks 5
th in career kills with 1292.

Lewis leads the team and conference with 620 digs and ranks fifth in the number of digs recorded in a single season by an SE player. The Glenda Dawson High School product is averaging 5.64 digs per set, which is good for third best in the GAC, and has notched five 30-dig contests. Among those, Lewis recorded a career-high 42 digs in SE's 3-2 win against Oklahoma Baptist in the first meeting.

Southeastern faces rivals East Central in the first round of the 2024 GAC Tournament at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at the Bank OZK Arena.
