Storm Set to Face Bulldogs in Road Series

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern baseball will be back on the road in Great American Conference play when it treks west to Weatherford, Okla., to take on Southwestern Oklahoma State in a three-game series March 1-2.
 
Game one is set for 2 p.m. on March first with a noon doubleheader slated for Saturday March 2.
 
The Savage Storm head into the series looking to snap an eight-game losing skid after falling to 6-9 on the season with an 0-6 mark in GAC play, dropping the six games by a total run differential of seven runs.
 
The SE offense is paced by Nick Hill who is hitting .400 on the season with three doubles and three home runs with a team-best 14 RBI.
 
Yanluis Ortiz is next in line with runs produced with 11 RBI, while Damon Burroughs, Reid Rice, and Wesley Mitchell have each driven in 10.
 
Burroughs and Rice are each hitting better than .300, while Rice, Mitchell, Ortiz, and Coby Grimsley have each clocked three homers.
 
Cameron Hauch leads the pitching staff with a 2-1 record and a 3.97 ERA across four starts with a team-best 20 strikeouts.
 
Jackson Sioson has put together a 1-1 record with a 4.70 ERA in six appearances, three of them starts.
 
Brody Logsdon leads the bullpen with a 1-1 record and a save across nine appearances with a 1.74 ERA.
 
The Bulldogs enter the weekend with a 10-7 overall record and a 2-4 mark in GAC play and have dropped two-straight coming into Friday's opener.
 
Geoff Marlow leads the SWOSU offense with a .414 average and a team-best five home runs, while Jackson Syring leads the team in RBI with 14 and adds a .379 average.
 
Jackson Phillips leads the Bulldog pitching staff with a 4-0 record, a 2.52 ERA, and 28 strikeouts in four starts, while Josh Rains has picked up two of the team's four saves.
