Softball Series Moved to Piedmont, Okla., March 28-29

DURANT, Okla. – Due to field conditions in Alva, Okla., Southeastern's three-game series against Northwestern Oklahoma State will now be played at Piedmont HS in Piedmont, Okla., wait the first two games of the series slated for a noon doubleheader on March 28 with the final game at noon on March 29.

Southeastern comes into the weekend tied for fourth in the Great American Conference standings with an 18-14 record overall on the season and a 10-7 mark in league play following a series win on the road over Ouachita Baptist last weekend.
 
The Savage Storm offense is led by Gracie Ore's .409 average with Kady Fryrear, Sage Harlow, and Kamryn Rackley each hitting better than .300 on the year.
 
Harlow leads the club with 26 RBI on the season, while India McMurray's five homers still leads the team, with Ore's three next in line.
 
In the circle, Emily Simmons has come on with a 604 start to her Southeastern career and a team-best 3.03 ERA and 49 strikeouts.
 
Reese Taylor carries a 3.34 ERA with a 4-06 record, while Amberlyn Walsworth is 5-3 in the circle with a 3.50 ERA.
 
NWOSU comes into the weekend with a 12-17 record overall and a 4-13 mark in GAC play after dropping six-straight GAC matchups.
 
The Rangers offense is led by Rachel Sherwood who is hitting .389 with 27 RBI, while the team is led in the circle by Hannah Howell who is 6-4 on the year with a 2.83 ERA.
