Baseball Set to Host Rangers for Weekend Series

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern baseball will look to get back in the win column when it welcomes Northwestern Oklahoma State for a three-game conference series March 29-30 at Mike Metheny Field, with game one 2 p.m. on March 29, with a doubleheader slated for 1 p.m. on March 30.
 
The Savage Storm enter the weekend with a 9-21 record overall and a 2-16 mark in Great American Conference play.
 
SE features six players hitting better than .300 on the year, led by Damon Burroughs who is posting a .364 average with seven doubles, two triples, and four home runs with 18 RBI.
 
Cache Stone, Nick Hill, Austin Thorp, Matt Miles, and Cameron Cromer are all hitting .300 or above.
 
Coby Grimsley leads the team with six home runs, while Hill has a team-best 19 RBI, with a total of 11 players turning in double-digit RBI totals.
 
Cameron Hauch and Jackson Sioson lead the pitching staff, with each logging a pair of wins, while Hauch has a team-best ERA among starters at 6.86, while Sioson has a team-high 32 strikeouts.
 
NWOSU comes into the weekend with a 21-11 record overall and an 11-7 mark in league play.
 
The Ranger offense is led by Carson Wright who is hitting .406 with nine home runs and 29 RBI, while the pitching staff is paced by Garrett DeHaas who is 1-1 on the year with a 3.66 ERA and 28 strikeouts.
