Softball Set to Host NSU in Midweek Twinbill

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern softball is set to return to the field on Tuesday, March 5, for a non-conference doubleheader against in-state rival Northeastern State, with game one set to begin at 1 p.m. at the Southeastern Softball Field.
 
The Savage Storm come into the twinbill with a 9-9 record after winning the final two games of a three-game series over the weekend.
 
Gracie Ore leads the SE offense with a .408 average, while five others are hitting better than .300 on the year.
 
Sage Harlow is one of those and leads the way driving in runs with 12 RBI on the year and connected on seven doubles, while India McMurray has a team-high five home runs and has driven in 11 runs.
 
Amberlynn Walsworth leads the Storm pitching staff with a 3-1 record in five starts, while Reese Taylor has a team-best 3.26 ERA with two wins and 28 strikeouts.
 
The Riverhawks enter the midweek matchups with a 4-12 record on the season and led offensively by Addy Wolfe who is hitting .316 While Emily Sampson has a team-best 10 RBI.
 
Madison Heinle has recorded all four of the team's wins and has the high mark of 28 strikeouts.
