Storm Softball Set to Face No. 9 UCO

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern will put its current winning streak on the line when it steps out of conference to test its mettle versus No. 9 Central Oklahoma in a doubleheader scheduled for 2 p.m. on April 2 in Edmond, Okla.
 
The Savage Storm come into the contest with a 21-14 record on the season and have won five-straight and 12-of-its-last-13 games.
 
The Southeastern offense is led by Gracie Ore who is hitting .392 on the year, while Kady Fryrear, Sage Harlow, Kamryn Rackley, Reese Taylor, and Channing Sarver are all hitting better than .300 on the season.
 
Harlow leads the way with 28 RBI, while Ore is next in line with 20.
 
The Storm pitching staff has turned into a three-headed monster of Emily Simmons, Taylor, and Amberlyn Walsworth.
 
Simmons leads the team in wins with seven and ERA at 3.13 while also tossing three complete-game shutouts, one of them a no-hitter.
 
Taylor is next in line with a 3.31 ERA and five wins with a team-best 53 strikeouts, while Walsworth is 6-3 on the year and carries a 3.32 ERA with 49 K's.
 
The Bronch9os come into the twinbill with a 28-6 record on the season and have won 21-straight.
 
The UCO offense is led by Rylee Lemos who is hitting .429, while Terin Ritz is batting .420 with 14 home runs and 46 RBI.
 
Ritz also leads the pitching staff with a 14-2 record and a 1.29 ERA with 56 strikeouts.
