McGinnis Takes Top Spot at Natural State Classic

DURANT, Okla. – Dalton McGinnis closed out the regular season with his first tournament victory and his third top five overall this season, taking the top individual spot at the Natural State Golf Classic in Cabot, Ark., while the Savage Storm finished fifth overall.
 
SE put together rounds of 302, 299, and 293 on the par-72 Cypress Creek GC for a total tally of 894, finishing 17 shots behind Arkansas-Monticello in fourth.
 
McGinnis led the way for Southeastern, carding a 67 in his first circuit of the course before following with a 72 and a 69 to post a 208, winning by one stroke with an eight-under-par score.
 
Jesse Rouse was the next Storm golfer in, finishing 17^th with a three-round score of 224 on rounds of 77, 73, and 74.
 
Nick Keuss finished tied for 20^th after opening with an 81 and bouncing back with scored of 76 and 70 to card a 227.
 
Nicholas Martin was next in line with a 54-hole score of 235 on rounds of 77, 78, and 80 which placed him tied for 28^th.
 
Trent Pollard would round out the Storm golfers in 32^nd place after posting scores of 86, 81, and 87 to finish with a three-round score of 254.
 
Southeastern will be back inn action at the Great American Conference championship April 21-23 at The Club at Forrest Ridge in Tulsa, Okla.
