DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern softball is set to close out the road portion of its schedule with a three-game series at Arkansas Tech beginning with a doubleheader on April 21 at 2 p.m. followed by a single game on April 22 at noon in Russellville, Ark.
The Savage Storm come into the weekend with a 23-23 record overall on the season with a 15-12 in Great American Conference play.
Kady Fryrear leads the way on offense with a .385 average that includes nine do0ubles, two homers and 21 RBI.
Gracie Ore is next in line with a .352 average, while
Sage Harlow,
Kamryn Rackley,
Reese Taylor and
Ananda Garrison are all hitting better than .300.
Harlow pushed her team-high BRI total to 30, while Fryrear and Ore have more than 20 apiece.
Emily Simmons leads the way in the circle with eight wins and a 3.33 ERA with 74 strikeouts, while
Amberlyn Walsworth has six wins and a 3.69 ERA, while Taylor carries a 3.88 ERA and has picked up five wins.
ATU comes into the series with a 22-17 record overall and a 14-13 mark in league play.
The Golden Suns are paced on offense by Shelby Chavers who is hitting .311, while Maycie Hardy has a team-high three homers and is one of three players with 17 RBI to lead the way.
Alexis Findley leads the ATU starting pitchers with a 2.44 ERA, while Bradi Basler has a team-best seven wins, with reliever Jaycee McKee posting a team-best ERA of 1.78.
