Baseball Makes Slight Adjustments to Weekend Series

DURANT, Okla. – With the weather outlook for the weekend causing problems, Southeastern baseball has adjusted its final series schedule versus East Central to start on April 26 with a doubleheader at noon followed by a single game on April 27 at 11 a.m., all at Mike Metheny Field.
 
Saturday's contest will also be preceded by senior day festivities beginning at 10:40 a.m.
 
The Savage Storm enter the weekend with a 15-31 record overall on the season and a 5-25 mark in Great American Conference play.
 
The two teams have met previously on the year, with Southeastern picking up a 16-1 road win in Ada, Okla., in a non-conference, midweek matchup on April 17.
 
SE is led on the year by Cache Stone's .384 average while Damon Burroughs is hitting .354 followed by Nick Hill at .348.
 
Brady Evans, Cameron Cromer, and Wesley Mitchell are each batting better than .300 on the year.
 
Reid Rice leads the team with 11 home runs and 32 RBI.
 
Cameron Hauch paces the pitching staff with a 6.07 ERA and a team-best 52 strikeouts, while Jackson Sioson has 46 K's and a trio of wins.
 
The Tigers are led by Tanner Collins .352 average, while Christian Whitaker has a team-best five homers and 31 RBI.
 
Cal Birchfield leads the pitching staff with a pair of wins and a 7.16 ERA, while Bryan Terry has a team-high 54 strikeouts.
