BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – The Southeastern men's golf team shoots 15-over 303 in round three at the Tulsa Cup to finish with a final 54-hole score of 34-over 898 to place 18
th.
No. 14 Central Missouri held onto first place at the Tulsa Cup, carding a 12-under 852, and were under pressure from Harding, who finished two strokes behind the Mules in second at 10-under 854. Pittsburg State jumped a spot into the top three with a 54-hole score of 2-under 862, while Arkansas-Fort Smith (4
th) and Northeastern State (5
th) rounded out the top five.
Austin Skierski charged up the individual leaderboard on the last day of play, leading the Storm lineup with an even-par 72 in round three. The freshman's day was highlighted by the team's lone eagle for the event on the Par 4 hole 18, and he added four birdies across the round for 11. Skierski's efforts saw him turn in a 4-over 220 over the two days and rose 21 spots on the leaderboard to tie for 31st individually.
Tristun Burnham tied for 44th at the end of the Tulsa Cup with a 6-over 222. Burnham fired in a 3-over 75 in the third round, adding four more birdies to his total for ten.
Nicholas Martin (T69th) compiled a 54-hole score of 11-over 227 over the three rounds of play after seeing a 7-over 79 on day two. Martin recorded back-to-back birdies on holes 17 and 18 and ended the event with seven total birdies.
Dilyn Hart (T82nd) scattered two birdies in round three on his way to a 5-over 77 day to finish the event 14-over 230.
Reid Sharp matched his opening round score in the third, shooting 8-over 80, and would complete the event with a 54-hole score of 19-over 235.
Southeastern competed in the final tournament of its fall season ahead of the winter break and will resume action again in the spring semester.
