EDMOND, Okla. – Southeastern ends the first day of play at the Skip Wagon Invitational in 17
th with a 36-hole score of 26-over 586. The Savage Storm fired in a 24-over 304 in round one and quickly improved their score in the second, shooting 2-over par.
Leading the field of play is St. Mary's, who turned in a 27-under 533 and are followed by Central Oklahoma with another low round of 22-under 538. Missouri Southern State checked in next at 13-under 547 for third, while Southwestern Oklahoma State is fourth with a score of 10-under 550.
Tristun Burnham put in the lowest score of the day, carding a 4-over 144 after rounds of 7-over 77 and 3-under 67. Burnham's best round of play came in the second, shooting 3-under par with six birdies and an eagle. Just one stroke back,
Nicholas Martin shot 4-over 74 in round one and followed with a 1-over 71 with five birdies across the two rounds to finish the day 5-over 145.
Austin Skierski had a 6-over 146 day with a 4-over 74 first round, and like Burnham and Matin, saw his best play in the second, turning in a 2-over 72.
Talan Haley opened the day with a 9-over 79 and later saw an improved score of 2-over 72 in the second round for a 36-hole score of 11-over 151.
Reid Sharp, in his first collegiate action with SE, put in rounds of 10-over 80 and 5-over 75 to complete the day 15-over 155. Sharp and Southeastern wrap up play at the Par 70 Kickingbird Golf Course tomorrow with round three.
