STILLWATER, Okla. –
Blake Carter took the top spot in the tie down roping to lead a group of four to make the finals, while
Jaiden Wilmoth paced a group of five cowgirls to advance to the finals at the Oklahoma State Rodeo in Stillwater, Okla.

Carter made his way to the finals after a third-place finish in qualifying on a run of 8.6 seconds in the tie down roping.
Â
He followed it up with a 7.6 in the finals, the fastest time recorded on the weekend, and moved up to the top spot in the average.
Â
Carter is currently the top-ranked tie down roper in the Central Plains Region.
Â
Justin Ochs and his partner Treyden Larmon (NEO) also posted a third-place finish in the first round in the team roping on a run of 6.9.

The duo followed with a 5.9 in the finals, finishing third in the round and moving up to second in the average.

The effort moved the team into the top spot in the regional standings.
Â
Caden Bunch opened the bull riding with an 81-point ride which was good for second in the long-go, took a no score in the finals, but still managed a second-place finish overall.
Â
Waylon Buquoi was third in the qualifying round with a 78-point ride, but he too took a no score in the finals and held onto third overall.
Â
Buquoi leads the region through three rodeos, while Bunch is ranked third regionally.
Â
Colton Matlock turned in a 69-point ride on his second horse in the bareback competition which would earn him second place for the event, and he comes out of Stillwater ranked second in the region.

On the women's side, Wilmoth made the finals in the barrel racing on a run of 16.02 which was good for 10
th, before finishing third in the finals with a time of 15.75 and moving up to sixth in the average for the weekend.

Laney Hoffman joined her in the finals and was ninth after the first go with a time of 15.95 before adding a 15.77 in the finals to finish fifth in the round and in the average.
Â
Wilmoth is currently fourth in the region in the barrel racing, while
Emma Ricke is ninth and Hoffman is 12
th.

Jillian Presley led the way in the goat tying with a first-round ride of 7.2 to split 8
th/9
th and added a 7.3 in the finals which was good for sixth in the round and moved her up to fifth in the average.
Â
Kayleah Hurst's run of 7.2 in the first round added her to the split with Presley, but her 7.8 in the finals dropped her out of the average.

Presley comes out the Oklahoma State trip ranked fifth in the region in the goat tying while
Lauren Weller is currently sixth.

Baylee Lester was the only Storm rider to make the finals in the breakaway roping, turning in a 2.6 in the first round to split 10
th place, but her final round no time took her out of the average.

Ricke is ranked second in the region in the event through three rodeos, while Presley is sitting in 11
th.

The men's team overall has moved up to second in the region, while the women hold onto third place heading into the trip to Northwestern Oklahoma State Oct. 30-Nov. 1 in Alva, Okla.
